Hyundai design has now established itself as something very special in the international automotive world, especially with the recent announcement of two Hyundai Red Dot Design Awards 2017. The awards were made to the all-new Hyundai i30 and to the Hyundai Azera (not available in the UK). Previously, the Hyundai i30 won awards at the PIN UP Design Awards and the 2017 iF Design Awards. This is the fourth successive year that Hyundai has triumphed at the Red Dot Awards, and the Hyundai i30 award came under Transportation Design in the Product Design category. Receiving ‘Honorable Mention’ in this category for its highly competitive design, the i30 features the cascading grille, an integral part of Hyundai’s new design signature. The Red Dot Awards have been running since 1954 and are organised by Design Zentrum Nordheim Westfalen, one of the oldest design institutions in the world, so this recognition for the i30 is high praise indeed.
