Slide into the driving seat of a Hyundai Tucson and you’ll discover real quality in an SUV. Its bold design demands attention wherever you go, whilst its athletic looks are more than a hint at its can-do attitude and its capacity to power through to your destination, whatever the conditions. The Hyundai Tucson will get you there in luxury and comfort, supported by an array of technologies for your safety, ease of driving, infotainment and pure enjoyment. This is the must-see, must-test-drive SUV – the Hyundai Tucson.
An all-round winner, the Hyundai Tucson has a powerful road presence. From the striking headlights each side of the signature hexagonal grille, over the rakish roofline and down to the rear LED lights on the SE Nav and above, and the onto the rugged rear skid plate on higher trim levels, the Tucson turns heads. The sharp creases, squared wheel arches and sleek alloy wheels emphasise the athletic profile of this stunning SUV.
There are 10 exciting, external colours to choose from, including two new colours: Olivine Grey and Stellar Blue.
Inside, the Hyundai Tucson is all about letting you relax in an environment dedicated to quality, luxury and refinement. Fine, soft touch materials have been used throughout to create not only a first-class cabin, but also one where surfaces are all highly durable and up to the rigours of everyday life. The Premium model and above take that luxury to a higher level with leather seat facings, whilst the Premium SE also features a panoramic sunroof that floods the interior of your Tucson with light.
Everyone is cocooned in the refined interior, where high-level sound absorbing materials have created an oasis of peace from road and wind noise. As the driver, you’ll find easy access to all the controls and all the information you need, thanks to the stylish and ergonomically designed, horizontal dashboard. Your luggage travels in spacious comfort too, with up to 1,503 litres of boot space available with the rear seats down, depending on the model.
Hyundai has created a choice of engines and transmissions to offer you economy, efficiency and motoring pleasure, whether you’re going across town or hitting the open roads for adventure. Depending on the model, you can also choose from the 1.6GDi petrol engine, producing 132PS and with maximum torque of 161Nm, or the 1.6 T-GDi petrol engine, offering 177PS and maximum torque of 265Nm. Diesel engines include the 1.6 CRDi, all the way up to the 2.0 CRDi high-power diesel engine with maximum torque of 400Nm and 185PS. Transmission choices are the six-speed manual and either the six-speed or seven-speed automatic Dual Clutch Transmissions. All the Tucson engines meet the new Euro 6d Temp emissions standards.
Up there with the leaders in clean technology and in a significant first for Hyundai, the new Hyundai Tucson will be available with a diesel mild hybrid powertrain system on Premium and Premium SE models. The mild hybrid technology combines a 48-volt electric motor with the 2.0 litre diesel engine, producing efficiency savings of up to 7%, improving fuel economy and reducing CO2 emissions. This version will offer all the performance and driving pleasure you expect from your new Tucson, including four-wheel drive. Soon, the mild hybrid version will incorporate a brand new Smart Stream 1.6-litre diesel engine.
Opt for the 4x4 version of the Hyundai Tucson and you’ll enter a world of real, go-anywhere ability. The 4WD system will detect a potential loss of traction and immediately transfer up to 50% of available torque to the rear wheels. When you know the going is tough in mud, snow or ice, you can set the 4WD system to distribute 50% of torque to the front wheels and 50% to the rear wheels.
You’ll find a variety of cutting-edge technology on the Hyundai Tucson, depending on the model you choose. Parking is made easy on the S Connect and above with the rear-camera parking system, whilst the Premium SE comes with a full smart parking assist system. And when you’ve parked up your Tucson Premium SE and you’re bringing back the shopping, the smart electric tailgate will open for you, if you stand for three seconds in the detection zone with the smart key still in your pocket.
DAB radio is standard across the range, so you’ll always have access to a wide variety of music and talk stations. From the Tucson SE Nav and above, you’ll also have the benefit of satellite navigation with an easy-to-use 8” touch screen. The sat-nav system comes with a seven-year subscription to LIVE Services, giving you access to real-time traffic alerts, so you can avoid frustrating jams and reach your destination as quickly as possible.
