Personal Contract Purchase gives you the flexibility to purchase the vehicle outright at the end of the finance agreement, by paying the Optional Final Payment, although you are not obliged to pay this and you can simply hand the car back with no penalty if desired (subject to mileage/condition parameters being met). With Hire Purchase you own the vehicle outright at the end of the contract.
