Hyundai’s first high-performance car put to the test

Thierry Neuville of Hyundai Motorsport tests the i30 N

The New Generation i30 is already attracting a lot of attention. Now there’s Hyundai’s first, high-performance car on its way to the UK later this year, the Hyundai i30 N. A unique combination of performance and Hyundai’s intention to provide maximum driving enjoyment for everyone, the i30 N has been put through some tough testing by Hyundai Motorsport World Rally Championship driver, Thierry Neuville. Designing a car that’s as at home on the road as it is on the track and is easy for any driver to handle is a challenging task. But with the new i30 N, Hyundai has achieved it, and when Thierry Neuville got his hands on it, he was determined to put it through some demanding tests on a frozen lake in Sweden. With temperatures down to minus 30˚C, Thierry had to draw on all his motorsport experience, commenting, ‘It’s very easy to handle. A normal driver should get a sensation similar to that of a racing car.’ You can get a flavour of some of the extreme-weather testing Thierry put the Hyundai i30 N through by taking a look at the video below:
