The time it takes to charge a Volvo EV or PHEV depends on the model, its battery size and the type of charger you’re using. Some models, such as the EX40, can be charged from 10% to 80% in as little as 28 minutes, while with a 7kW wallbox charge time is around five hours.​

Volvo’s electric vehicles have impressive ranges, typically offering between 300-400 miles on a single charge. The ES90 leads the way with a range of up to 435 miles (combined). ​

Your Volvo EV or PHEV can be charged at home using a three-pin plug socket, with a domestic wallbox, or at a public charging station, of which there are over 42,500 in the UK. These can be found at service stations, in public carparks and in supermarket or retailer carparks. ​
