Which? is well known for conducting painstaking testing and research on behalf of consumers in the UK, so when it names Volvo Brand of the Year, it’s worth a lot. Many brands like to boast about their safety credentials, but when you’re thinking of a new Volvo, there’s a lot of research and evidence backing up the claims. Consistently scoring the top, five-star rating from Euro NCAP and with the Volvo XC60 being named Best in Class in 2017 is a record to be proud of. As Which? said ‘Volvo impressed us with its high praise from customers, but it's the company's solid safety record that put it ahead of other shortlisted candidates.’

Another aspect of this 2018 Volvo Brand of the Year success is the advances made by Volvo in producing cleaner engines. Which? highlighted Volvo’s Drive-E technology for its focus on reducing emissions.
