The BAYON takes its design cues from the larger TUCSON, boasting prominent contours and a twin lighting signature that incorporates slim, high-mounted daytime running lights and larger, angled headlights. Despite its SUV-inspired design, this compact ride is closer to a supermini in size, although its modest dimensions envelop a surprising 411 litres of boot space and room to seat five in comfort. The elevated ride height provides good forward visibility, and the model’s 17-inch alloy wheels and chic palette of paint colours give it a striking appearance.​​

Inside, the driver-centric cockpit is designed to give easy access to all controls and information. Audio and communications functions are selected via an 8.0-inch touchscreen, which also enables smartphone integration through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The cabin itself is harmoniously crafted and uses premium quality materials for a comfortable experience.​​

Depending on trim level, the BAYON offers either an 8.0-inch or 10.25-inch infotainment system, the latter of which comes with built-in navigation. A Bose sound system is also available for those looking for concert-standard audio, as well as a wireless charging pad. All models get three USB ports so occupants can charge devices on the go, and Bluelink Connected Car Services enables you to create a user profile, sync your calendar, use voice commands and more.

The new Hyundai BAYON utilises mild hybrid technology to reduce the vehicle’s carbon footprint. A 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine is supported by a 48-volt mild-hybrid battery, producing either 99bhp or 118bhp and 172Nm of torque. This propels you from 0-62mph in under 11 seconds, and keeps CO2 emissions to 119g/km or under. With three different driving modes available too, you can select the settings that best suit your preferences.
