Expressive from every angle, the new Kona is taking the award-winning sculpted lines and stylish edge of its predecessor to the next level with new design enhancements and the latest smart tech like cutting-edge connectivity and safety features.
Wireless phone charging
Located in the centre console of N Line trims and above, a wireless charging pad (Qi standard) lets you easily charge a compatible Qi-enabled smartphone without the use of cables.
Floating 10.25” touch screen
The 10.25” touch screen (available on N Line and above) provides easy access to car features, infotainment, navigation, and your favourite apps and music via smartphone mirroring.
Head-up display (HUD)
Hyundai’s head-up display (HUD) is standard on Ultimate trim. It projects key driving information into the driver’s line of sight, letting them focus on the road.
The new Kona features an enhanced range of safety and driving assist features for added peace of mind. Leading Vehicle Departure Alert (LVDA) warns the driver when the vehicle in front departs from an idle state, like at a stoplight or in a traffic jam. Rear Seat Alert (RSA) and Safe Exit Warning (SEW) have also been added.
Blind Spot Collision Warning (BSW)
Standard on the Ultimate trim, the AEB system uses a front mounted camera and radar sensor to monitor the traffic ahead. If the system detects a potential collision with a vehicle or pedestrian, it will warn the driver, automatically slowing or stopping the vehicle if required.
Forward Collision-avoidance Assist (FCA)
Sensing the road ahead with radar and a camera, the FCA system (standard across all trims) automatically brakes if the vehicle ahead suddenly slows down, or if it detects pedestrians on the road.
Full LED Lighting Technology
The Kona Ultimate features powerful and efficient full LED headlights. Plus High Beam Assist which automatically detects oncoming drivers and changes from high beam to low. A Static Bending Light system illuminates the area to the front and side of your car when cornering in low light.
Lane Keep Assist (LKA)
The Lane Keep Assist system (standard across all trims) uses the front camera to monitor the lines of the road. In the event of an unintended lane departure, it will first alert the driver and then apply counter-steering torque to get the car back on the correct course if necessary.
