Hyundai 2016 sales figures reveal the manufacturer’s eighth successive year of growth in the UK and a 4.8% increase in sales on 2015, with retail registrations growing by 8.2%.

Hyundai sales are topped by the Tucson, the compact SUV with a bold design, contributing 28% of the 2016 number. A further quarter of UK sales were due to the success of the i10, Hyundai’s award-winning city car – and the new i10 is set for equal success with its new levels of connectivity and its exceptional practicality. Coming in third was the i20, exuding elegance, simplicity and refinement. Tony Whitehorn, President and CEO of Hyundai Motor UK, said of the year’s success:
