Starting in 2019, the Hyundai i30 Fastback N will become the official safety car for the Motul FIM Superbike World Championship for the next three seasons. Alongside these bikes in the fastest production motorcycle race in the world, the Hyundai i30 Fastback N will be able to show off its racetrack credentials as it goes about its work. If you love the high-performance Hyundai N brand and you love superbikes, this is great news, as it gives you access to both at WorldSBK Championship events. Can’t wait to try N? If you’re thinking you haven’t heard much about the Hyundai i30 Fastback N, you’d be right. That’s because it’s a brand new car that will only make its debut at the Paris Motor Show this year in October. A big advantage for N fans of this partnership is that you’ll be able to try out Hyundai N high-performance cars on track at WorldSBK Championship events, as well as enjoying Hyundai hospitality and experiences at races.
Thomas Schemera, Executive Vice President and Head of High Performance Vehicle & Motorsport Division at Hyundai, was obviously as excited as the WorldSBK official safety car drivers about the deal, saying, “We are very excited to announce our partnership with WorldSBK because we share the same DNA. All N cars are corner rascals, and the essence of motorcycle racing is cornering. WorldSBK is the fastest production bike race, and all N cars are race track capable whilst providing sports car performance in everyday driving.”
