Celebrating the best cars available in the UK as judged by the experts at Auto Express, this Hyundai Auto Express Awards win is a major triumph for this environmentally conscious car maker. Hyundai Kona Electric – Auto Express Awards 2018 Affordable Electric Car of the Year Award
Combining the popularity of the SUV body shape with the benefits of an all-electric car that can keep on going for up to 300 miles and making it all available at an affordable price are the factors that brought victory for the KONA Electric.
Steve Fowler, Editor-in-Chief at Auto Express, said of the win: “The Kona Electric has a 300-mile range, so it can go further on a single charge than some of its closest rivals. Add an affordable price tag and it shows that genuinely mainstream electric cars are now viable. The Kona Electric is an outstanding package, which is why we’ve named it Affordable Electric Car of the Year 2018.”
Hyundai IONIQ – Auto Express Awards 2018 Affordable Hybrid Car of the Year
To rank new cars for the Auto Express Awards, the magazine’s reviewer team spend a lot of time driving them in the real world. Not only did they find that the Hyundai IONIQ is a highly competent plug-in hybrid with excellent fuel efficiency and minimal CO2 emissions, but it’s also a great car to drive, thanks to its spacious and comfortable interior and its high levels of equipment.
